The Department of Medicine conducted several programs and activities for the benefit of the patients and residents over the last three months. This is a glimpse into the various engagements.

 book on non-communicable diseases written by veteran physician and author Dr. Shridhar Dwivedi was launched by the department of Medicine in the presence of the Director General of Health Services, Dr Atul Goel, and Director Dr Subhash Giri.

World Parkinson’s Day was celebrated jointly by the department of Neurology and department of Medicine in the out-patient block on 15 April 2024.

A talk on heat-related illnesses was conducted by the department of Medicine on 22 April 2024.

 

 

The department of Medicine and department of Chest Diseases and Tuberculosis conducted a session on Nebulization therapy for post-graduate residents on 25 April 2024.

LHMC Medicine Update 2024 was organized with much zeal and enthusiasm on 4th and 5th May 2024. It engaged faculty and residents from institutes across NCR. The workshops and scientific sessions were well received.

A patient awareness program was conducted in Medicine OPD on World Thalassemia Day on 10 May 2024.

LEADCON Conference was organized by department of Medicine in association with Lotus Diabetes Foundation on 12 May 2024. The conference comprised of paper presentations and quiz and was attended in good numbers by residents.

 

An awareness program was organized by the department of Medicine on the occasion of National Dengue Day on 16 May 2024.

 

Department of Medicine observed Hypertension Awareness Month through the months of May and June. Various activities were conducted across hospital campus and Delhi to spread awareness about Hypertension.

 

 

 

 

World Sickle Cell Day was observed by the department of Medicine on 20 June 2024. The residents and faculty conducted an awareness talk and interactive session in the out-patient department.
